The Role:

If you are looking to gain experience within the Local Government sector and believe you can work safely as part of a great team within the community, this could be a great opportunity. Our client is a Local Government division SOR and are currently seeking a qualified Mechanic to join their team to assist in routine and scheduled inspections, maintenance, and repairs on their Heavy Diesel Fleet vehicles + machinery.

• Diagnosing faults,
• Replacing worn parts
• Performing scheduled maintenance like oil changes, brake pads, wheel bearings & Hydraulic Systems.
• Working safely autonomously and as part of a team with strong knowledge of OHS standards.

Criteria:

• Valid driver’s licence - HR. (Desirable)
• Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Required)
• Cert III in light Vehicle Mechanical Technology & Motor Vehicle repairers Certificate (Desirable)
• Previous Experience in similar roles (Highly Desirable)
• Experience in Hydrolic system diagnosis, repair and maintenance
• Strong understanding of both mechanical and electronic systems
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina to work with tools and in various positions.
• Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records.
• Current National Police Clearance – Clean record
• Pass a Drug & Alcohol Screen Test
• Role is Casual/ Temporary with potential to lead to Permanent
